Plasma technology, Thermal management technology, Surface modification
Jhao-Yu Guo received a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology in 2022. She then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the same institution for approximately one year. In 2025, she joined the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering at National Taiwan Ocean University. Jhao-Yu’s research primarily spans three areas: plasma technology, thermal management, and surface modification. The surface modification work includes nitriding, oxidation, and corrosion protection. Currently, the research focus is on the development of pool boiling heat transfer technologies. In addition, Jhao-Yu Guo received the Young Researcher Award at the International Conference on Precision Engineering and Sustainable Manufacturing in 2023 and 2025.
