We are implementing neuromorphic circuits that are bio-inspired and implement models of theoretical neuroscience. We adopt memristors as the basis of our circuit implementations, which provide for minimal model designs of great simplicity and very few components. We use analog conventional hardware to implement our models, which are affordable and widely available. Our discrete circuits can be also implemented in CMOS VLSI.
