Lightweight Alloys, Corrosion, Electrochemistry, Microstructure Characterizations
Peng-Wei Chu (朱鵬維) received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 2017. After working for two years as a Principal Engineer on the Pathfinding team at TSMC, he joined the Department of Engineering and System Science at National Tsing Hua University in 2020. Peng-Wei's research mainly focused on the electrochemical behavior of metals and alloys from a microstructural perspective, ranging from corrosion and oxidation to surface treatments and battery electrodes. Peng-Wei also has expertise in various materials characterization techniques, including, but not limited to, SEM/FIB, TEM, XRD, XPS, and Atom Probe Tomography (APT).
