Photocurable resin with dynamic hindered urea bonds for green manufacturing applications.

In response to the growing demand for sustainable materials, a zero-VOC, recyclable poly(urea–urethane) acrylate (PUUA) photocurable resin with dynamic hindered urea bonds (HUBs) is developed. The designed network enables efficient thermal reprocessing under mild conditions without catalysts or solvents, allowing multiple recycling cycles. The material exhibits a balanced combination of thermal stability, optical transparency, and mechanical robustness. Favorable rheological and photopolymerization properties enable high-resolution fabrication via LCD-based 3D printing, producing complex structures with good dimensional fidelity. This work provides a promising strategy for recyclable photocurable resins toward sustainable and circular manufacturing.
